I wanted a fun title for this post....like "Mindy and Ashley take DC" or "The real hairstylists of DC" or even "Shhhh...we are expanding to DC." But nothing fit because we didn't take DC, we aren't the only talented gals in DC and our plans for expanding are still in the works. More to come on that soon. Our evening was split between 4 gorgeous hotels. As we strolled through each lobby into each ballroom, we were more and more impressed, inspired and even more motivated. We enjoyed a relaxing night of wine, bubbly and sugar overload. Being amongst the best of the best in DC was wonderful. Trying to go sleep was very difficult after seeing SugarPlum fairies dancing live, ice bars dripping with Moet and cakes hanging from the ceiling! These are just some photos we snapped along the way. These don't do it justice. If you haven't already bought your ticket for Friday's event, you must head to the Four Seasons in Baltimore to see more of our friends. I know it will be amazing!
First stop: The Hay Adams
Pigs in a blanket over a shot of Miller Lite! So creative :)
Pink Lemonade with sugar on the rim!
My new obsession. Love seeing these chairs everywhere!
Grays and Pinks = Yum!
Top of the Hay!
Cakes hanging over a dessert table = HEAVEN!
...poppin' bubbly we did!
Participating Vendors that we chatted with at the Hay-Adams:
Off to the St. Regis!
Georgetown Cupcakes....Oh Em Gee!
We chatted with:
Limo busing it to the Willard!
Julie from Strawberry Milk Events is brilliant! Loved her sugarplum theme!
Mindy was thrilled to be able to touch the ice bar. It was perfect for the theme of this room.
Ice cream bar? Yes please!
Allison Barnhill designed the gorgeous stationary!
Moving onto another room...we sampled the speciality drink The Honeymoon
It was a special treat for us to sit down and get our hair and makeup done by the Red Door. We had a great time chatting with other artists in our industry!
All dolled up and visiting yet another gorgeous room!
What bride wouldn't love walking down this aisle?
Every hotel and venue offered exceptional white glove service. We were greeted with a warm smile at each location.
We spent so much time at the Willard that by the time we moved on to the W Hotel it was dark outside.
At the Willard, we chatted with:
The W Hotel was our last stop for the evening!
Trying to get a good elevator picture...Think Mindy might kill me for this one!
Check out this amazing design and the importance of uplighting! Every bride should use it at their wedding. We know some great vendors that can help you with the design and color choice! Also, look at these amazing florals ~ They are made out of paper!
Heading down to the bottom level of the W, we couldn't help but love the traditional bridal decor mixed with candles. It was great to look up the spiral staircase to these beauties!
We ran into Remona! She is not only gorgeous and talented, but she is such a sweetheart!
Not sure what was more yummy ~ these gents with British accents or the treats on the table?
We wrapped up our night chatting with:
Wow! What an event! Looking forward to attend the Engaged! Event on Friday at the Four Seasons in Baltimore.
