Here lies another segment of The Venting Bride!
In my search for a wedding gown, I have realized that Brides have a number of choices! You can go online, catalogs, second-hand stores, re-invent mom's old dress, and bridal salons. Bridal Salons? Yes this is an actual place you go to find your wedding gown...not get your hair done. (If you want that, see Up Do's For I Do's!)
Let me just say first hand that shopping on-line for a gown is a no no. Same for a catalog. It is good to get an idea of what you want from these places, but you will find that once you go in to the salon and try that style, color, or fit on your body...well it may not be what you are looking for. That is exactly what happened to me!
Don't get overwhelmed with Dress shopping! Take a minimal amount of people (that way you don't get too many opinions!) that you value their input, and make an appointment with a Consultant at a Bridal Salon. Try on everything once, you never know what you might fall in love with!
As for my dress....HUGE Thank you to Francesca at Francesca's Bridal! The service was great, the selection was incredible, and they had dresses for every size budget!
