September 18: Lydia

I could not be happier with Up Do's for I Do's! Erica, Amy and the rest of the ladies who did our hair and make-up were awesome! All of the bridesmaids looked beautiful and were extremely happy with their hair and make-up. It was such a wonderful experience being able to relax in our hotel, drink our coffee, eat our breakfast and have hair and make-up come to us. We all enjoyed our morning and showed up to the ceremony stress free! Thank you!

Thanks!
Lydia

September 18: Megan

Danielle and I spent the day with Megan and her fabulous bridesmaids at the Stone Manor Country Club in Middletown. The drive to this location was gorgeous and it was the perfect time of year for a fall wedding. The weather was flawless and the leaves had just started to change.
We had met with Megan over a year before her wedding! I knew the second we met that we were the perfect fit and I couldn't wait to hear her ideas for hair and make-up!

Megan sent over some photos and more can be found on her photographer Liz Hough's blog!

Up Do's for I Do's came highly recommended to me by a friend when I began planning my wedding.  I actually booked with them over a year before the wedding because the service they provide is amazing and they are in high demand for weddings.  Ashley and Danielle did a fabulous job with the bridal party hair and makeup. I couldn't have made a better choice then choosing Up Dos for I Dos for my wedding! ~ Megan
Thanks Megan for inviting us to be a part of your wedding day! We had a great time!

October 16: Leland

Leland and her bridal party were a dream to work with! Mindy and Beth headed bright and early to Frederick to help the gals get ready! It's incredible when brides contact me within a week of their big day to tell me how pleased they were! She raved about Mindy and Beth and from the photos below you can see why! She is stunning! This wedding should be featured in a magazine! I'm even more impressed when photographers do a blog post and slideshow the same week of the wedding! I know it is a lot of hard work! Thanks to Madalina Lesan Photography for sharing these gorgeous images! Check out her blog for more pictures from Leland and Tim's wedding. Here is a link to a slideshow

I did a little blog post about Karen's big day back in August but had to do another post because she just sent me some of her gorgeous photos!!! The last post only showed Peter's (Julie's) yummy brownies!

I absolutely adore this family and love doing hair in their Ellicott City kitchen :)
Thanks Karen and Peter for not only including us on your big day but for inviting DJ Vega at Beat 2 Beat DJs too!

Karen and her gorgeous gals!

Hi! My Name is Ashley and I'm addicted to....

Seriously the best manicure ever! My nails were put through the test with this weekend of a billion weddings! After hairspray, wax product, bobby pins and washing my hands a million times, my nails didn't lose their shine, top coat or structure. The polish looks as though I just had a fresh manicure. Not only has the polish lasted, my nails feel stronger than ever!  It's amazing!! It's one of those things you stop and ask yourself, "why didn't I think of inventing that?"  I've had it applied a few times and each time I tell myself that I'm addicted and there is no other manicure that will be as awesome! I can  usually get 2-3 weeks out of the maniucre and what I love most is that it has the durability of a gel tip but it's my natural nail! There was no drilling, no peeling, no attacking the heck out of my little itty bitty fingers! Best of all~ you walk out of the salon with dry nails! I've contemplated sharing my new secret as there has been a drought in the nail salon of the secret top coat and it's hard to find a place but I can't hold out on our brides anymore! It's the answer to no more chipping, smudging, etc. Perfect for a wedding and those honeymooners! The selection of colors is limited to the CND line and it's a UV light that seals the polish to the nails. I don't personally have a local salon that I'd recommend quite yet but you can find a salon close to you that offers it on the Shellac website. Be sure that you call ahead to make sure they have all of the products and that it is truly the CND brand. I've found that some nail salons try to sell you another brand but it's not the real deal! Cheers and I hope you enjoy this little secret as much as I do!

June 26: Tara

Mindy, Shanna and Danielle spent the day with Tara and her girls downtown Baltimore. Tara's super sweet photographer sent me some spectacular photos! Thanks to Maria Linz for sharing these beautiful images of Tara and Ted!
 I <3 window shots!
Everyone should have a red wall to pose with! Love the boldness going on!

As the hair and make-up artists, we rarely get to see the wedding day details! I love to include them into the blog posts so you can see the entire day unfold. I know how much work it is to plan the big day!

June 19: Melissa

Erica and I headed over to the Eastern Shore on the morning of June 19th. We were pulling up to a gorgeous home on the water and couldn't believe how perfect the day was! We headed in to help Melissa and her girls get ready for the big day! These girls were a ton of fun and we loved spending the morning with them! I don't think we've ever laughed so hard. One of Melissa's bridesmaids was very pregnant and had her dress altered. She tried it on for us all to see and it was the most altered dress I had ever seen. One side was shorter than the other and the zipper wasn't it where it was supposed to be.  It's moments like this that make me question how I became so lucky to do what I do. We laughed with the girls and it was a great way to start the day. We set up in the dining room and had all the natural light you could ask for. It was a dream location with a dream wedding party. Melissa~ Thank you so much for inviting myself and Erica to be a part of your big day! We were thrilled to be there!

Melissa had the perfect day at the perfect venue~ Chesapeake Bay Beach Club on Kent Island!

 Love the colors!!!

Melissa sent me so many great photos! I love how she incorporated photos throughout the day as well as the evening shots! The photos really show the durability and longevity of the hairstyles these gals picked!
