April 30: Jen

As soon as I put my hands in Jen's hair, I was in love! She has the perfect hair to pin, curl and play with. The first shot she sent me is from her hair trial. We didn't use any product but I think it still looks fantastic!
This picture is from her actual wedding day! I love how you can see Baltimore and the water!

Thank you Ashley! I am so glad that I found Up Do's For I Do's online and that you were available for my wedding. I left the hair and make-up trial feeling radiant and beautiful and had confidence that you would help make me feel that way on the wedding day and you did! My hair was beautiful and my makeup was so natural looking which is exactly what I wanted. You and Beth were fantastic!

July 3: Emily

Emily was married at the beginning of July! It was a great day for a wedding and the weather held up! Luckily the 100 degree days hadn't hit us quite yet! Danielle and I had a great time with Emily, her bridesmaids and family! We had a HUGE suite and plenty of room for everyone! It was a nice treat for us as we weren't stuck inside an itty bitty bathroom with everything falling into the sink! We also got to spend the morning with some of our favorite photographers ~ Borrowed Blue Photography!
Emily gifted each of the gals a a purple tank to wear on the wedding day! What a great idea!

Emily had a fear that her hair would fall in the July heat. To prevent it, I curled and set her hair so that right after she put her dress on she could pull it out herself and it would last throughout the whole ceremony and reception! You can't even tell it's pinned up and set in this picture! This would be a cute style too :)
How cute is this? I love Emily's expression! She seems so giddy and excited (which she should be)! See how her hair is over her shoulder now! Such a great hairstyle! Loving this!
Fabulous flowers from Homestead Gardens

Congrats Emily! Holly- It was so great to see you!

July 3: Debbie

The smallest things in life make me so excited! I love getting emails from our recent brides with their photos and sweet praises! Thanks Debbie and congrats again on your big day! It was a pleasure working with you!
Ashley,

I wanted to send an email to say thank you to all of you, but especially Amy and Erica who did a top notch job for my July 3 wedding. Although we were probably the "twitchiest group" when it came to eye make-up, Amy took it all in stride. Erica did a fantastic job on all of us and my 8 year old niece was very happy to be like one of the "big girls" and have her hair done and wear glitter!
What was most important to me was to work with people with whom I felt comfortable and I absolutely did. Thank you again! I've started to get some of the photos through, so I have attached two so you can what a great job they did.
Kind Regards,
Debbie

June 19: Dianna

Shanna, Belen, Cara and Beth headed downtown Baltimore to help Dianna and her girls get ready on the warm wedding day! With a large group and only a few hours, our team rocked out some fabulous styles and pretty faces! Dianna and her bridesmaids could seriously be models! Stunning ladies!

Love the color combo Dianna choose for her girls!
Yes! Action shots!!!
Seriously- cutest couple ever!!
It always takes my breath away when brides email me the day after the wedding. It's so thoughtful and very rewarding to us! We know our job well done was well done :)

I wanted to send you a quick note just to say how impressed I was with Shanna, Belen, Cara and Beth! They were right on time, were so friendly, and best of all, made all of my bridesmaids look gorgeous!!! And I may have gotten a few compliments on my "wedding look" as well :) Shanna told me that she would bet her job if my hair didn't stay put all night and let me just tell you..not only did it not move that night, but even after sleeping on it it still looked the same!! I even had breakfast with our families this morning without even replacing a bobby pin. No joke!! So please tell her thank you!! My mother in law took a really good shot of the back of my "do" and I will send it to you as well as other pictures as soon as I can.
Thanks again!! Dianna

May 1: Meredith

To kick off the month of May, I headed to the Westin in Annapolis to help Meredith and her girls get ready! I loved how each gal wanted something different and 100% representative of their unique personality.

Meredith's hair texture is fine. She has a lot of it but it was fine. We opted to create a simple yet perfect bun. This type of style lasts all day and all night! It also looks super elegant!
Probably my most favorite hairstyle of the day was one of the sister's of the groom. She had so much hair on her head I didn't know where to put it all. We did a quick consult and decided to do something off-center! Loved how it turned out especially with the one shoulder dress! Her highlights really made the texture and dimension stand out.
More hotness from the bridesmaids...

**super cute girl Sherry all the way to the left!**

Love everything about this photo! The colors, the flowers, the girls and the location! Absolute perfection!
...and of course the gorgeous photos presented by the dashing D.Bryant! Thanks Don for capturing our work so elegantly!

It's almost time for the World Premiere!!!

So many people want to know how we work. What's the process? Does the trial come first? Will you travel to us? Can we come to you? Well....to answer all the questions that our wonderful brides have for us we've complied a video of the step by step process. While the video is being edited and we aren't quite ready to share the final product with you, I do have some super fun photos documenting our movie stars!

We teamed up with John Rose Videography, Balance Photography, Intrigue Designs and some of our recent brides to showcase our traveling talents! Everyone who contributed to this project is a true artist and obviously ranked high on our recommended vendor list!

To begin this post, I decided to introduce you to Ashley, our office manager. You will always see her smiling face as you walk into our studio!
Here is John capturing us on our typical trial night.
I've included this picture of Rissa so the world knows she was there for the event! Thanks Ris for all of your help! We couldn't of done it without you!! You are a rockstar and a very special person!
The fabulous and fierce Mindy in action.

Fast forward to the wedding......

On the wedding day we brought along our team to keep the documenting rolling. Here are photographer Rissa and bride Audrey.
Even though it was April, there was still a crisp chill in the air! Our bridesmaids were such good sports.
This was totally unplanned and as I was flipping through the photo edits I couldn't believe Mr. Rose gave me bunny ears!
In addition to hair and make-up talents, I've learned a few photography tricks along the way :) I'm awesome at holding lights and reflectors!!!
Have you ever had a vision in your head of the perfect flower arrangement? Well think about making it 1000 times better! That is exactly what Sarah did for us at Intrigue. Seriously this girl is a rockstar and I'm so grateful for her talents and designs. All the arrangements in these photos and in our demo video were created by her! Absolutely amazing! I could hang out with her all day and pick at her dazzling brain to see how she comes up with these masterpieces!
Amy was on-site to help us for filming day! She did an incredible job as usual!

Danielle was there to help us with Kristi and her beautiful bridesmaids.
Erica created the brilliant hairstyles for Kristi and her girls!
Again, all the credit goes to Sarah and Rissa!
Don't you just wish that was you sitting there looking all fab?
Is it sad that we are lighting ourselves? We were supposed to be "behind the scenes". Also, special thanks to Nathaniel who came straight from the airport to help us! He was somewhere amazing for a destination wedding!
ooooo.....sneak peak
I want to wake up to these every morning! Yum!

I'm totally excited to share this experience with you! I'm so thankful I have a "job" that allows me to be creative and to work with creative people. I can honestly say that I'm never bored and enjoy going to "work" everyday. I've met so many inspiring people in the wedding industry! I'm happy to refer the best of the best to our brides. I am proud to say that all of the artists that are on our team are truly one of a kind. Stay tuned for the video!

Black Ankle Vineyards

As we pulled up, I couldn't wait to open the doors to see what was inside! This is the interesting place that hosts wine tastings!

Each piece of this location had a story behind it. It was fascinating to learn how this came together! It was so inspiring...if only I was handy and could build something without breaking something!

These are clippings from the land that were made into a countertop for the bar.
See how pretty the bar is?
Once inside, this is the gorgeous view outside! We were outside for a good portion of the day and it was just beautiful! So relaxing and rejuvenating!

If I wasn't with several other professional, I probably would have run through the rows and grabbed grapes off the vines! It was so hard to resist this urge!
Looking over the vineyard!

Nathaniel had brought us these yummy donuts all the way from York, PA.

Brit doing an awesome job holding the reflector. I seriously want one of these. It makes everyone perfect- no lines, no shadows, no flaws!
Jacqueline holding the gorgeous flowers from Local Color Flowers.
**note: Nathaniel rocking his black ankle socks. I'm thinking he did this to celebrate the name- Black Ankle Vineyards??
Ris jumped in to help Brit with the most amazing inventions ever- the reflector!
Some of the ladies who were a part of the fabulous project:

(L-R) Rissa from Balance Photograpy, Ashley from Up-Do's For I Do's, Ellen from Local Color Flowers, Jacqueline and Brit from Balance Photography
Getting the right angle for the right shot...
...wanting to get an even higher shot!
So now that you've seen all the behind the scenes pictures, I bet you are wondering what we were working on? Well, you'll just have to wait! This project has been incredible and I haven't even seen the final results! I'll be sure to post as soon as I have the final edit in hand! I already know it's going to be amazing and I'll be thrilled when I finally get to share it with you all :)
