Glam the Dress!!!

So after the wedding what are you supposed to do with the dress???? Mine sat for 3 years in the corner of my garage.....totally unnecessary!!! Why not GLAM the dress with Up-Do's For I Do's and Balance Photography....the first 3 are of me! It was so much fun ...the following 3 are of another cute girl named Ashlee (but spelled different than me). What's cool about Ashlee's shoot was her hair was dark brown. I bet you didn't guess that! I put extensions in her hair to give a really fun glammed over the top look! Why not be a model for the day??? And it is a great excuse to use your dress again!

PS- I finally did get my dress dry cleaned and it is now hanging properly :)

MTroy Design Shoot!!!!!

Up-Do's For I Do's teamed up with MTroy Designs and the fabulous Vivian Smith from Sapphire Studio! We provided the hair and make-up for Margie's Designs for her new collection line. Her creations are incredible and we had a great experience working with both Margie Troy and Vivian Smith!!!

Chrissy, Meghan, and Amy worked outside on the rooftop overlooking the Baltimore Inner Harbor!!!

I was inside whipping up all different hair styles for each model!!! We had a range in hair textures, colors, and lengths!!! Very fun!

And here are some of MTroy's famous designs!!! Incredible!!!

Thank you Margie and Vivian for including us on this wonderful project!

Lisa's October 25th Wedding

I was soooo looking forward to Lisa's wedding day! It rained buckets but that didn't keep this hottie from looking amazing! I adore her style and she rocked her dress!!!
I've seen a few birdcage veils this year and just love the look and style. Absolutely timeless.

Congrats Lisa! I had so much fun with you and your girls!!! Also, I stole these pics off of Jen Lowe's blog!!! Jen is so sweet and her work is incredible!!!

A few more from Tracy's wedding....

Here are just a few more from Tracy. Thanks to Don from D.Bryant for the artistic photos :)

This was a shot taken during the process. Often people ask what the style is going to look like. I tell them I'm not sure until I start going. Every stylist has a different approach even if the outcome is going to be the same. This picture just seemed so cool because obviously we didn't leave the curl like this but it's a great way to prove that in the end the hair will look amazing. While creating the style we can't promise the in-between is gorgeous- just the end! :) My advice ~ and I joke about it with the bridesmaids is not to make us mad because we can leave them half done and sometimes that means pigtails in the front and a mullet in the back!!! Just kidding!
Again, Don just has that creative eye~ I had no idea ( and I hate to admit that) but he captured the wording on one of my make-up brushes. "The Love Brush"! How appropriate for a wedding!

Fabulous Summer Weddings!!!

Renee was married at Herrington on the Bay in North Beach, MD. Renee's attention to detail was so amazing! She did a great job making her wedding unique! One of the details I noticed the most was her use of flowers. Each bridesmaid, flowergirl, and of course Renee each wore a flower in her hair. If  I remember correctly Renee taught me that when a woman wears a flower on her left side it is a symbol that she is taken. In addition to the flowers the hair, she even had fresh flowers for her shoes! Finally, Renee used some of our collection line pieces as a part of her wedding. The photo below displays the custom hand crafted cake and knife server.

I love to see happy brides when they look at their hair! I then know my job is completed :)

Thanks for Rissa and Nathaniel of Balance Photography for catching these awesome moments of me with Renee and her girls!!!

Danielle and I had a marathon day of our own on October 11th. Between the two of us we visited 3 brides at different locations. While we were helping the brides get gorgeous we faced the traffic from the marathon going on in Baltimore.  We managed to get to where needed to be and help the lovely ladies prepare for their exciting days!! Congrats to my sister in law Karen for placing in the marathon!!! Below is Dana and her girls! Danielle and I had a blast with these ladies! They were prepared as we arrived, had the tables set up for us, and even had pictures of what they wanted!!!

Often when we go to someone's home there is something out of the ordinary letting us know we are at the correct house! I loved Dana and Zack's sign!!!
Erica helped Carrie on her August 31st wedding day! She created a style perfect for Carrie!!! Here are a few photos of Carrie getting ready after Erica did her hair and make-up! Thanks again to Balance Photography for the photos :)
