As we approach another big storm headed to us this weekend I thought it was only appropriate to blog about Sarah's winter wedding. I have to be honest and admit that I am not a fan of snow at all. Sure it is gorgeous when you are cuddled inside by the fire with a hot cup of cocoa but I could do without the winter winds and wet socks! It especially takes my stress level to a new high when I have a wedding to get to.
Between these photos and Sarah's amazing personality, I might change my feelings towards the snow just a little.
I arrived early on Sarah's December 19th wedding day. I wanted to give myself as much time as possible to navigate through DC since the roads were covered with snow, slush and ice. When I arrived it was just the two of us in her gorgeous hotel suite. I'll never forget how excited Sarah was. I asked her how she was feeling and her reply was so calm. I kept thinking to myself if this was my wedding day I would be so stressed but she showed no signs of it! She loved that the city was covered in a white blanket!
She recently sent me the link to her photographer's blog to share these photos! Her photographer really captured her sweet and fun personality! Her new husband seems to be just as charming as she is and I can see why they are totally perfect for each other!
Erica arrived shortly after I did and we tagged teamed the bridal party finishing all the hair and make-up services in record time. We wanted to leave plenty of time for the girls to get dressed and to travel in the snow.
Erica created the most gorgeous and timeless hairstyle for Sarah. Isn't she stunning?

Her girls were all super sweet!

We added a few lashes to Sarah's outer corners. This gives the eyes a slightly dramatic look while keeping the overall look elegant. This photo really shows how they can still look natural and not be overwhelming!

Love how the new couple embraced the snow! I think the photo below may be my personal favorite!

This was a shot from the end of the night as the photographer was leaving! Wow!

....and who doesn't love details??
